Description
The largest and most grand of all of Perth’s cathedrals, St Mary’s, in Victoria Square, has been the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Perth for over 150 years. Originally built in 1865, the cathedral has undergone three separate expansions throughout its life. The largest of which, began in 1926 and was only completed in 2009, making it the longest single construction project in Western Australia’s history.
